The Housing Security Department strives to actively engage Santa Clara students in social justice issues surrounding housing insecurity by encouraging activism through service and creating connections with those experiencing homelessness in our community.

In addition to SCCAP, she works as a Student Ambassador, local Speech and Debate coach, and is highly involved with theatre on campus. She is highly passionate about justice, advocacy, and activism. Originally from Colombia, Alejandra moved to San José, CA when she was 8 years old. As President of Salsa Clara, she loves salsa dancing as a way to heal through movement and connect to her afro-indigenous roots. She is passionate about sunshine, making new friends, and connecting BIPOC at SCU with other marginalized folks in the area through dance and service. She majors in Ethnic Studies and minors in Arabic / Islamic / Middle Eastern Studies.
