BREAKTHROUGH SILICON VALLEY
Program Coordinator: Gabe Ruiz Flores (gruizflores@scu.edu)
Students tutor middle and high school students of BTSV, a program that supports 1st generation students, by supporting them with homework and projects.

CABRILLO MIDDLE SCHOOL
Program Coordinator: Annika Nallaballi (anallaballi@scu.edu)
Volunteer as a tutor for academically gifted middle schoolers at Cabrillo Middle School. This program focuses most heavily on STEM tutoring and help with pushing the students' out-of-classroom learning in STEM subjects forward. This program is a great way to get involved with the broader Santa Clara community especially if you are a STEM major!
Times: Mondays, 2:45 PM - 4 PM
Requirements: Fill out a volunteer form, provide a copy of a photo ID, and take a TB test
CORAL TUTORING
​Program Coordinator: Paige Morihara (pmorihara@scu.edu)
Join us at CORAL, where you’ll assist with a variety of activities, from crafts and occasional homework help to outdoor play. Your role will depend on what the students are working on when we arrive, making each day different and engaging.​
Times: Mondays, 4 PM - 5 PM
Requirements: COVID vaccination + booster, take a TB test, complete paperwork & fingerprinting
HUGHES ELEMENTARY
Program Coordinator: Kennedy Agnitsch ​(kagnitsch@scu.edu)
Partnering with Hughes Elementary, SCU students will get the opportunity to give their time to after-school tutoring for Hughes Elementary students, and engage in a knowledge-sharing experience, contributing their time and knowledge as tutors for kids who might otherwise struggle to secure tutoring services.​​
Times: Tuesdays, 11 AM - 11:45 AM
Requirements: take a TB test and complete paperwork
MONTAGUE ELEMENTARY
Program Coordinator: Shreya Jain (sjain9@scu.edu)
Partner with the YMCA at Montague Elementary after school to assist with activities, lead outdoor games, build connections with students, and be a helpful resource for staff!
Times: Tuesdays, 4 PM - 5 PM

Hello! My name is Gabriel, and I'm a freshman Political Science Major. I am from San Jose and am very involved and connected to the local community. I have had many roles in education as a middle school English and Ethnic Studies Teacher, as well as a former Student Board Member for San Jose Unified School District. In my free time, I like to run, play badminton and volleyball, and watch movies with my friends. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be a Program Coordinator and to make a positive impact on the community! I can not wait to see the work we all at SCCAP will do to help better the San Jose community!

I'm from St. Louis, Missouri and have been volunteering with children since I was a kid, from Sunday school to swim lessons. In my free time I love participating in every water sport, reading, crafting, and curating my wardrobe! I am so excited to be part of SCCAP and begin making a difference in the San Jose community!

I have been an elementary/middle/high school tutor for as long as I can remember, and I’m so happy to continue pursuing this in my college career.
